PHILIPPE PELTIER

Vice President Manufacturing

Philippe Peltier is a senior management executive with over 25 years of experience of which more than 18 years in healthcare. Prior to joining Miracor Philippe held positions as Production Project Manager, Head of Industrialization, Director in Operational Excellence and Vice President Service Development at Ion Beam Applications. He further held several general management positions and leadership positions in aviation maintenance and in service. Philippe received a Master’s degree in electronics engineering, a Master’s degree in Management from the Louvain School of Management, a Master in Business Administration from Vlerick Business School and has studied Service Excellence at Harvard Business School.

DR. IR. VENTZESLAV IORDANOV

Senior Director Research & Development, Console & Software

Ventzeslav Iordanov has nearly two decades of experience in the field of system architecture, of which more than a decade are in the medical device industry. Ventzeslav has led multinational teams in the process of design and development of more than 15 demonstrators and prototypes, and three commercial products. Before joining Miracor, Ventzeslav was Director of R&D at Medimetrics Personalized Drug Delivery B.V. where he was responsible for the development and transfer to manufacturing of drug-device combination products. In parallel, he led the Quality & Regulatory teams in defining a Quality Management System to be fully compliant to the E.U. and U.S. regulations for the support of design, certification and commercialization of medical device products. Ventzeslav received an Engineer Diploma in Applied Physics and a Master’s degree in Electronics from the Sofia University (Bulgaria) and he holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Instrumentation from the Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands).

JOZEF TANCZOS

Vice President Clinical Affairs, Europe

Jozef Tanczos has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry across all phases of clinical development, including a focus on early and translational medicine in cardiology, pulmonology, organ transplantation and regenerative medicine. Before joining Miracor, Jozef was Director of Medical Affairs at PneumRx BTG where he played a key role in supporting global clinical development and therapy adoption. Earlier in his career, Jozef worked with Xeltis developing an autologous pulmonary valve and cardiovascular conduits as well as with Roche and Astellas conducting clinical studies on various pharmaceutical products. Jozef holds a MSc degree in Biochemistry and Physiology at the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, and has worked as a research fellow at Slovak Academy of Science conducting animal research on ischemic precondition and myocardial regenerative pathways.

KIMBERLIE O’CONNELL

Vice President Regulatory & Quality Assurance, U.S. Operations

Kimberlie O’Connell has over 20 years of industry experience with a focus on cardiovascular therapies. She has held leadership roles in clinical, regulatory and quality for early stage, mid-stage and large organizations. Prior to joining Miracor, Kim was Vice President of Clinical, Regulatory & Quality for Mitralign, Inc. where she was responsible for all clinical programs, achieving CE Mark and U.S. Early Feasibility approvals for the mitral and tricuspid valve repair therapies. Kim’s experience includes 13 years with Medtronic where she held several roles in the Regulatory and Clinical Affairs organizations for the Coronary and Endovascular Therapies businesses. Kim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master’s degree in Regulatory Affairs & Health Policy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and a Masters in Business Administration from the Van Loan School of Management at Endicott College in Massachusetts.

BERTRAND GRIMMONPRÉ

Chief Financial Officer

Bertrand Grimmonpré is a seasoned finance executive with over 20 years of experience in general management and finance with extensive international exposure. Prior to joining Miracor, Bertrand held chief financial positions in various medical device and biotech companies such as Novoste, Volcano Therapeutics, Celyad (Cardio3) and Medpole. Previously, Bertrand held positions as CEO /CFO at Elo Touch Solutions, Prefarails, 4Decors, Heelys and WOW Technology. He started his career in the Hertz Lease Group, first as Accounting Manager for Ford Cegeac, the largest Ford Dealer in Belgium, then moving to European Finance Controllers, based in Portugal and UK, in charge of integrating newly acquired companies and financial / operational audits. Bertrand holds a degree in taxation and accounting from the CBC in Brussels, completed with Corporate Finance (ISC St-Louis Brussels) and Interim Management (Vleerick School in Ghent) programs.

OLIVIER DELPORTE

Chief Executive Officer

Olivier Delporte is an international executive with over 20 years of sales, marketing and general management experience, mostly in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Miracor, he was Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, U.S. at PneumRx (acquired by BTG in 2015) and Vice President Commercial Operations, Sales and Marketing of Tryton Medical in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Previously, Olivier held leadership positions at Guidant Corporation and Abbott Vascular. Olivier has studied and worked in the U.S., France, Spain, and Belgium. He is currently a Director of Endotoxins Therapeutics. Olivier earned a Master’s Degree in Business from the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, and a Master’s in Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

STEVE CAHALANE

Senior Director Research & Development, Catheter & Detachables

Steve Cahalane has over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry. His experience includes management of Research & Development, Operations and Quality Assurance organizations and ranges from start-up companies to large corporations. Prior to joining Miracor, Steve was the Chief Technology Officer for Mitralign, Inc. where he was responsible for managing the R&D and Operations departments for the mitral and tricuspid valve repair programs. Prior to that, Steve worked at Percardia Inc. in product development and operations management, Boston Scientific Corporation in various capacities and at C.R. Bard, Inc. as a Quality Engineer. Steve received a Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Engineering from the University of Lowell (now the University of Massachusetts Lowell).

JAMES HALLUMS

Vice President Sales & Marketing

James Hallums is an international sales and marketing executive with more than 23 years in the cardiovascular medical device industry. He joins Miracor from Boston Scientific where he was the head of Global Sales of the Cerebral Protection business having been Chief Commercial officer at Claret Medical, which was acquired by BSC in August 2018. Prior to that, he has held Senior Sales and Marketing positions at St. Jude Medical, Cordis (a J&J company), Conor Medsystems, Guidant and Medtronic AVE. James has studied and worked in Europe and the USA. He holds a degree in cardiovascular nursing from the University of Surrey, UK and has studied Business Management programs at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago.
